<div align="justify">Undeva departe, intr-un colt al lumii care apare in fata ochilor nostri mari, de occidentali, ca un taram cufundat in semne si sunete indescifrabile, un omulet isi impacheta sperantele si viitorul intr-o valiza cu destinatia &#8220;Visul American&#8221;. Ca toti aspirantii, a batut pe la toate portile si a mers la toate auditiile, dar povestea n-ar fi pilda daca nu ar fi fost refuzat pana la deprimare si aproape-aproape renuntare. Motivele de refuz erau dintr-acelea care te fac sa te intrebi gatuit care e rostul tau pe Pamant: (dintr-o privire de sus in jos) </p>

<div align="justify">Ca in toate basmele americane, facatoare de minuni corporatiste, debutantul nostru a devenit <strike>o icoana</strike> un <i>icon,&nbsp;</i>pomenit cu buze tuguiate de toata suflarea trendy a lumii: <b>Sushi, din Japonia</b>. Restul e istorie, producatorii care il refuzasera s-au grabit sa rectifice: &#8220;Draga Sushi, mi-am dat seama pana la urma, nu esti deloc indigest, pe legea mea, orez si peste sunt in viata mea de cand ma stiu&#8221;, &#8220;Credeam ca n-o sa pot intalni elementele componente ale fiintei tale nicaieri aici, dar, iata, am gasit ceva care ti s-ar potrivi perfect, let&#8217;s do a makeover, American-style!&#8221;, &#8220;Sezi fara frica, sunt expert in pregatirea unor tineri ca tine, doar cu mine a invatat si Rulada!&#8221;. Eticheta de &#8220;crud si periculos&#8221; i-a ramas, dar pana la urma toate starurile trebuie sa aiba si o latura <i>edgy</i>, any publicity is good publicity, right?

<div align="justify">&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Apoi a venit si momentul consacrarii. Invitat la Oprah ca sa-si descarce sacul emotional, Sushi si-a povestit copilaria in speranta ca va primi niste sfaturi de self-help. Ma recunosc in:</p>
<p>&nbsp;- <strong>orez de sushi</strong> (vedeti, au numit produsul dupa mine, <i>cul</i>, nu?) &#8211; raionul de produse asiatice din Cora, Kaufland, Mega Image si Metro;<br />
&nbsp;- <strong>nori</strong>, alge crocante (sub ele ma ascund ca sub aparente, am o personalitate marin-vulcanica) &#8211; acelasi raion de mai sus;<br />
&nbsp;- <strong>wasabi</strong> (v-am zis ca sunt explozibil si iute la manie!) &#8211; tot acolo sau la Real, la pescarie;<br />
&nbsp;- <strong>otet din orez</strong> (nu, nu sunt o acritura, ma insor eu curand!) &#8211; Gima, langa sosuri Worcester &amp; Co;</p>
<p>&nbsp;- <strong>covoras de bambus</strong> &#8211; la toate supermarketurile, tot la asiatice;<br />
&nbsp;- <strong>sos de soia</strong> (I luv to soak in my bubble bath) &#8211; langa &nbsp;toate celelalte, recomand Kikkoman;<br />
&nbsp;- <strong>peste</strong> (uite, asta e principala mea calitate, sunt ataaaat de versatil) &#8211; daca nu sunteti puristi, folositi peste afumat sau fructe de mare conservate sau icre de somon, whatever oceanic creature makes you tick. Recomand Carrefour pentru <i><b>somonul afumat</b></i> pe care l-am folosit aici.</p>
<p>&nbsp;- mai pot fi compus din castravete, avocado, ton cu maioneza, etc.</p>

<div align="justify">Eu dovedesc doi oameni dintr-o data daca puneti intr-o oala antiaderenta <b>o cana si 1/2 de orez</b> (dupa ce a fost spalat si uscat inainte) si tot <b>1 cana si 1/2 de apa</b>, astea sunt masurile mele 1:1. Oala merge la foc mare pana cand apa incepe sa fiarba, apoi se pune capac si se da focul la minim. Nu miscati, nu respirati si mai ales nu deranjati orezul! Dupa 6-8 minute verificati daca e fiert, gustati pur si simplu. Taiati pestele in fasii, daca puneti legume, taiati-le si pe acelea tot in fasii subtiri. Dupa ce orezul a fiert, se &#8220;condimenteaza&#8221; cu un amestec de cateva linguri de otet, o lingurita de zahar si un praf de sare (zaharul si sarea trebuie sa fie topite in otet). Se lasa la racit.

<div align="justify">Scena macelului: un bol cu apa si putin otet, prosoape multe, wasabi si umplutura la indemana. Puneti o foaie de alge pe covorasul de bambus, cu partea lucioasa si aspra in jos si indoiturile vertical. Umeziti-va mainile. Intindeti o lingura, doua de orez pe foaie in mod uniform, lasand 2 cm liberi in partea de sus. La mijloc, trasati o dara transversala cu foarte putin wasabi (l-ati incercat? cat suportati de iute?) si asezati fasiile de peste (legume, maioneza, etc) deasupra. Udati nitel partea superioara a foii de alge.

<div align="justify">Sa ne rostogolim, ca niste fani adevarati ai lui Sushi! Se apuca partea inferioara a covorasului si a foii de alge cu ambele maini si se ruleaza incorporand toata umplutura, dintr-o miscare. Presati usor. Rulati pana la capat cu o mana in timp ce cu cealalta trageti de marginea covorasului, rulati numai sushi-ul, nu si covorasul. Aveti grija sa nu iasa rulada de covoras cu sushi ^_^
